The Mummified Cat Pin was an idea Mari had that stemmed from her time making jewelry and visiting museums to look through collections of Ancient Roman, Greek, and Egyptian artifacts for inspiration. The Mummified Cat is a compelling mix of cute and creepy: one that echoes the current enthusiasm not only for cats, but for collection, as if we too unconsciously believe we can carry our objects into the afterlife.
